Rombauer 2011 Napa Valley Zinfandel
Smells like its going to be jammy like a Petite Sirah but it is fleeting. It’s replaced more typical sweet plum notes. Just as you are about to pull you nose out, hints of cinnamon peak your interest. This guy is sweet on the palate. Not too bold. Short and uneventful finish.

Winemaker Notes: “Rich, deep purple color with a dark red hue. Opening with vibrant boysenberry and black cherry aromas. Subtle hints of spice and licorice aromas follow, inviting a taste. Jammy, luscious wild berry and cinnamon flavors weave across the palate for a succulent mouth-feel. Fresh acidity and soft tannins round out the blackberry flavored finish.”
