Three Wine Co. 2011 Albariño

I really enjoyed the nose on this guy. Interesting characteristics. I got a gentle but steely, pineapple that was delightfully crisp. After digging back in I also got warm and dusty tomato vine. It made for a nice complexity in the nose. Don’t let your nose get carried away in there or you might forget to take a drink. Wine faux pas, I got my nose wet. It smells wonderful.

Once on your palate, there is a honeysuckle sweetness and a gentle acidity which makes this a no brainer for a sit and chat sort of wine. Some great sour tones that wet the finish. Warm day, just add ice. Refreshing.

Winemaker Notes“Our Albariño is sourced from the Sweetwater Ranch located in the rolling hills east of King City in Monterey County. In 2011, this wine was harvested at 24° brix resulting in an off-dry style wine with a modest alcohol level. This wine has great aromatics, plenty of luscious flavors and ends with a crisp finish. There is a mineral component on the palate that mingles with refreshing pineapple and honeyed flavors of apple and citrus.”  • 749 Cases
