Cherry and some delightful floral notes. I didn’t anticipate how pretty the nose would be. I have to admit I did struggle with the nuances since I tasted this in spring and I was fighting allergies. Oh the battles of being in love with wine even when your nose isn’t completely cooperating.

I found it invisible on the front of my palate. Almost as if it were waiting for something. By the mid-palate, it showed a familiar but tart side and some perfect spices that peaked my interest. “Maybe it was winding up?” I found myself wondering. I finally accepted that it ust wasn’t his personality. He is suave, refined and a bit mellow. Now I see why they say “this wine will steal your heart.” Nicely done.
